Running a small business takes time and dedication. And if you are like most small business owners and managers, you want to concentrate on what you do best: your job. So why park yourself behind your desk after a long day and look at all those numbers?
What I do:
From start-up to established enterprises, businesses rely on accurate and insightful financial information in order to maintain profitability and capitalize on new opportunities. My accounting services steer you closer to these goals with accurate record-keeping and reporting. I provide a full range of bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll services using most often Quickbooks Online. Are your books in a mess? No problem -- I've probably seen worse. And I can help you.
I have been an accountant for over twenty years and I hold a degree in Risk Management from a German College of Commerce as well as a degree in Accounting from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. I worked for Radio Bremen Television Studios in Germany, Florida Public Broadcasting, a Mexican/American seafood wholesaler, a multi-continental aggregate company, and the Port of San Diego. My tasks included special projects accounting, financial statement and management report preparation, cost-to-budget analyses, forecasting, budget development, variance analyses. I enjoyed my work and most of all, I enjoyed challenges. However, I never enjoyed the hours on the freeway commuting to and from work during rush hours. Nor the long hours of overtime during the month-end closing-the-books process. After 9/11 I adjusted my thinking – and my priorities, and I started my own business, Itcounts. My mission is to provide the same quality service to the smaller businesses in the San Diego area.
There is no reason why a small business entrepreneur should worry about sitting in an IRS office with a shoe box of receipts on his or her lap…And, by the way: I actually enjoy looking at all those numbers!
